Indian Air Force (IAF) invites online applications for 284 posts of Commissioned Officers in Flying Branch and Ground Duty through AFCAT. Candidates must apply by 01-07-2025. The recruitment is open to candidates from all Indian states with qualifications ranging from ITI to Post Graduates and Engineers. The selection process includes a written exam, CPSS test for flying branch, AFSB interview, and medical exam. The pay scale is Rs. 56100 – 177500. Qualification Requirements

Qualifications include ITI, Graduates (All Graduates and B.Com.), Post Graduates (M.Tech.), Engineers (Aerospace, Mechanical, Others). Specific qualifications per post include Bachelor Degree in any stream with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or B.E/B.Tech for Flying Branch; 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in Physics and Math and 4-year Engineering/Technology degree for Ground Duty Technical; Bachelor Degree with minimum 60% marks for Ground Duty Non-Technical branches; and NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate for NCC Special Entry Flying.

Selection Process

  • 1: Written examination testing General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude.
  • 2: For Flying Branch applicants, Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) test after qualifying written exam.
  • 3: Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview in two stages: Stage I includes Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT).
  • 4: Stage II includes psychological tests, group testing, and personal interview.
  • 5: Final selection based on combined performance in written exam, AFSB interview, and medical examination.
