Special qualifications include: Assistant Director, Maharashtra Finance & Accounts Service requires Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with minimum 55%, or CA, or ICWA, or post-graduate degree in Commerce, or MBA with specialization in Finance. Industry Officer (Technical) requires Degree in Engineering (excluding Architecture, Town Planning, etc.) or Technology, or a Degree in Science from a statutory University. Maharashtra Veterinary Services requires Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) and registration under the Maharashtra Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1971.

- Combined Preliminary Exam: Candidates must appear for a combined preliminary examination.
