Qualification Requirements
Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Candidates appearing in final year of their qualifying degree exam are eligible to apply but must produce proof of passing at the time of Interview.

Selection Process
- Preliminary Examination: Two objective-type papers totaling 400 marks, serving as a screening test. Marks not counted in final merit list.
- Main Examination: Written examination consisting of 9 conventional essay-type papers.
- Interview/Personality Test: Candidates qualifying written exam are summoned for an interview carrying 275 marks to assess mental calibre and social traits.
How to Apply
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on UPSC Online Application Portal to get URN.
- Fill Common Application Form (CAF) common for all UPSC exams.
- Submit details in Civil Services Examination 2026 module.
- Upload supporting documents including proof of DOB and qualifications.
- Upload photograph and capture live photo during CAF submission.
- Upload signature signed three times on plain white paper.
- Provide valid Photo ID details in URN profile and carry same ID for future.
- Review all information carefully before final submission.
- Modify URN profile once if needed; changes won’t affect submitted applications.
- Submit application before 24-02-2026 6:00 PM.
- No need to send printed application copy to UPSC; keep copy for reference.
