Selection Process
- Registration for interview: Eligible candidates must report at the Conference Hall between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM to register for the interview. Candidates reporting after 11:00 AM will not be allowed to enter.
- Interview: Candidates are assessed through an interview held at the Conference Hall, Prison Head Quarter, Near Lajwanti Garden Chowk, Janak Puri, New Delhi-110058.
- Merit / Ranking: Interview marks set the order of merit; candidates are listed in descending order of interview marks and services may end in ascending order of merit if required.
- Medical fitness and document verification: Before appointment, selected candidates must undergo medical fitness checks and verification of educational qualifications, age, caste, DMC registration, internship completion and other certificates.
- Joining: Selected candidates must join within 7 days of issue of the offer letter or the offer will be cancelled.
How to Apply
- Use the ‘Application Proforma for the post of Sr./Jr. Resident (MBBS)’ available on page 5 of the official notification PDF.
- Attach a passport-size photograph and self-attested copies of required documents (DOB/10th certificate, DMC registration or acknowledgement, MBBS degree, internship certificate for JR, PG degree/diploma for SR, experience certificates, caste/PH certificates, Aadhar card, FMGE if applicable).
- Send the filled application form and enclosures by Speed Post or hand-deliver it to: R&I Section, Prison Head Quarter, Near Lajwanti Garden Chowk, Janak Puri, New Delhi-110058.
- If delivering by hand, submit between 10:00 AM and 05:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and ensure it reaches by 29-10-2026.
- Candidates holding a DMC acknowledgement may appear for interview but must have valid DMC registration at time of joining if selected.
