Selection Process
- Documentation: Verification of original certificates for age, education, caste and sports achievement; identity and biometric verification is mandatory.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest (male only) and weight checked against prescribed standards; PST is for eligibility/shortlisting and final fitness is decided at Detailed Medical Examination.
- Sports Trial Test: Qualifying sports trial of 40 marks (minimum qualifying 20 marks); exempted for candidates who represented India in an International Sports Event with Department of Sports clearance.
- Merit List (based on sports achievement marks): Final merit is determined purely by sports achievement marking scheme; documentation/PST/sports trial are for shortlisting/qualification only.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Medical fitness checked as per MHA guidelines; candidates declared unfit may opt for Review Medical Examination (RME).
