Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBE): All candidates must appear in a Computer Based Examination with objective multiple-choice questions. There are separate tests for Matriculation-level, 10+2-level and Graduate-level posts; the paper has parts on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English. The exam has negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer and normalization if conducted in multiple shifts.
- Skill Test (where applicable): For posts that require specific technical or skill abilities (such as typing, data entry, or computer proficiency), qualifying Skill Tests will be conducted. Skill test marks are qualifying in nature and will not be counted in the final merit.
- Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the CBE must upload and submit relevant documents on the portal; participating departments will carry out detailed scrutiny of applications and documents.
- Medical Examination: Final merit will be formed after completing document verification and medical examination as required by the participating departments.
- Tie-breaking and finalization: If total scores tie, tie will be resolved by normalized marks, then marks in Part-A, Part-B, Part-C, then older date of birth, then alphabetical order of names, sequentially until tie is broken.
How to Apply
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal before applying; fresh OTR is mandatory.
- Fill and submit the online application form via the SSC website or mySSC mobile app after successful OTR.
- Upload required documents, live photograph and signature as per prescribed specifications.
- Pay application fee online (Rs.100 for General/Unreserved; Women, SC, ST, PwBD and ESM exempt) by 05-05-2026.
- Submit separate applications and fees for each post/category you apply for.
- Keep printout/copy of submitted application for reference; no need to send a printed application to SSC.
- Use correction window from 11-05-2026 to 13-05-2026 to make permitted corrections (first correction Rs.200, second Rs.500).
