Selection Process
stage: Stage I: Written examination
details: All candidates take a 200-mark objective written exam (Common Paper 100 marks + Technical Paper 100 marks). Candidates must score at least 33% in each paper; there is no negative marking.
stage: Stage II: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
details: For specified driver/constable posts (31/26, 34/26, 35/26). Shortlisting for PST/PET is 1:8 on written-exam merit for vacancies and qualifying marks; ex-servicemen are exempt from PET but must pass PST.
stage: Stage III: Driving test
details: Applies to driver posts (31/26, 32/26, 33/26). Shortlisting for driving test is 1:3 based on written-exam merit and qualifying marks; driving licence must be valid on closing date and test/verification dates.
stage: Stage IV: Competency test (ANM)
details: Applies to ANM (25/26). Shortlisting is 1:3; competency test has four stations (candidate does three) and is qualifying only, requiring 21 out of 30 to pass.
stage: Stage V: Medical fitness test
details: Applies to police and fire-service driver posts (31/26, 34/26, 35/26). Medical is qualifying only. Final merit is decided solely on written-examination marks.
How to Apply
- Apply only online at https://apssb.nic.in/ between 21-10-2026 (3:00 PM) and 05-11-2026 (5:00 PM).
- Enter one photo identity document (Aadhaar, Voter ID, driving licence, PAN or other government photo ID); the same original must be carried to the exam and must match the admit card.
- Mark your preference of posts and departments for posts you are eligible for; the order given is final.
- Upload scanned signature (10–50 KB), recent passport photo (50–100 KB) and educational/technical certificates relevant to applied posts.
- PwBD candidates needing a scribe or compensatory time must opt in the form and upload the relevant annexure from APSSB Candidates Corner.
- Pay Rs. 150 online and submit; check all entries before submission as edits are not allowed after closing date. If multiple forms submitted for same post, latest counts.

Who is eligible to apply for APSSB NMTE 2026?
