- Written Examination: An 80-mark objective multiple-choice written test covering Mathematics (Class X standard), Conventional Survey and Modern Survey. There is a negative mark of 0.25 for each incorrect answer.
- Computer Proficiency Skill Test: A 20-mark practical test to assess computer usage and typing ability in English and Assamese or Bengali. Only candidates shortlisted from the written exam will be called.
