Selection Process

  • 1: Selection is primarily through a Computer Based Written Examination conducted under one of three schemes depending on the post (One Tier General, One Tier Technical, One Tier Technical/Teaching).
  • 2: One Tier General (for post codes 34/26, 39/26, 40/26): 2 hours, 200 MCQs, 200 marks; five sections of 40 marks each; final merit based on written exam marks only.
  • 3: One Tier Technical (for relevant technical post codes): 2 hours, 200 MCQs, 200 marks; Section A (100 marks) covers general subjects and Section B (100 marks) covers domain subject; minimum qualifying marks apply to Section B; combined marks determine merit.
  • 4: One Tier Technical/Teaching (for teaching posts 41/26–44/26): 2 hours, 200 MCQs with Section A general subjects and Section B subject-specific including teaching methodology; minimum qualifying marks apply to Section B; combined marks determine merit.
