Age Limits

Selection Process
- Online Registration: Candidates must register on the Government apprenticeship portal and submit the Hindustan Copper Limited online application.
- Merit Calculation: Merit is prepared using Class 10 and ITI marks; ITI-based trades use 70% weight to Class 10 and 30% to ITI; trades without ITI use 100% Class 10 marks.
- Shortlisting: HCL prepares and publishes the list of shortlisted candidates based on merit.
- Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present and verify educational and eligibility certificates.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must satisfy HCL’s medical fitness requirements before engagement.
- Apprenticeship Engagement: Selected candidates complete the apprenticeship contract formalities through the Government portal and HCL.
How to Apply
Step 1 – Apprenticeship Portal Registration: Visit https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/, create or access the apprenticeship profile, complete Aadhaar verification and bank details, enter Class 10/ITI details, search for ‘Hindustan Copper Limited, Malanjkhand Copper Project’, apply for the relevant trade and note the apprenticeship registration number.
Step 2 – HCL Online Application: Visit https://www.hindustancopper.com/, open Careers, locate Advertisement No. HCL/MCP/HR/Trade App./01/2026, fill the online form, enter apprenticeship registration number, upload photograph/signature and affidavit if applicable, verify details and submit by 24-11-2026. Download and keep the acknowledgement.
Important Notes: Both registrations (Government apprenticeship portal and HCL online application) are mandatory. Only one HCL application per candidate will be considered.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the minimum eligibility/qualification requirements?
Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation). For trades numbered 4 to 19, candidates must also have an ITI in the relevant trade. Diploma, B.E. and equivalent professional qualification holders are not eligible for this apprenticeship.
