Selection Process
- Application Screening: KMRL will review received applications for completeness and eligibility.
- Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted from the applications for further processing.
- Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original qualification, identity and other prescribed documents for verification.
- Medical Fitness and Police Verification: Selected candidates must obtain medical fitness certification and complete police verification before engagement.
- Apprenticeship Contract: Engagement requires acceptance of the tripartite apprenticeship contract through the NATS/NAPS system.
How to Apply
- Complete NAPS registration at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ (ITI candidates) or NATS enrolment at https://nats.education.gov.in/ (Graduate and Diploma candidates); update profile and upload required documents; obtain registration/enrolment number.
- Download/print the Apprentice Bio-Data Form attached to the official notification (included in the notification PDF).
- Fill the Bio-Data Form in CAPITAL LETTERS, enter the NAPS/NATS registration or enrolment number, select the apprenticeship category and trade, affix photograph and sign the declaration.
- Attach required supporting documents (registration, qualification certificates, mark sheets, age proof, reservation certificates if applicable).
- Submit or send the completed Bio-Data Form and documents to the KMRL office address: General Manager (HR, ADM & TRG), Kochi Metro Rail Ltd., Corporate Office, 4th Floor, JLN Stadium Metro Station, Kaloor, Kochi, Kerala – 682017 so it reaches within the notified period (by 10 November 2026).

What are the educational eligibility criteria for this apprenticeship?
Candidates must have full-time regular government-recognized qualifications: 4-year B.Tech/B.E. for Graduate Technical; 3-year BBA/B.Com/BCA for Graduate Non-Technical; 3-year engineering diploma for Diploma Technician; and full-time ITI course for ITI Trade Apprentices. Qualifications obtained by distance, part-time, correspondence or online modes are not eligible, and final-year/result-awaiting candidates are not eligible.

Monthly stipends are Rs. 12,300 for graduate apprentices, Rs. 10,900 for diploma technicians, and Rs. 9,600 for ITI trade apprentices. All selected apprentices also receive an additional Rs. 1,200 per month as food/messing allowance.
