Selection Process
- Screening of applications: A Screening Committee segregates applications into ‘Eligible’ and ‘Not Eligible’ based on the information provided in the online application.
- Written Test: Written Test conducted at Nagpur by an external agency with 100% weightage; cut-off marks: 50% for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS, 45% for SC/ST, with relaxed standards for PwD as per government guidelines.
- Document Verification: Candidates who clear the written test are called for document verification, ordinarily up to a ratio of 1:7 per vacancy, in order of merit.
- Skill Test / Trade Test (qualifying): An internal committee conducts qualifying Skill/Trade Tests which only screen candidates as ‘Suitable’ or ‘Not Suitable’ and do not carry marks toward the final merit list.
- Final Merit List: Final merit list is prepared based on Written Test marks among candidates found ‘Suitable’ in the Skill/Trade Test and approved by the concerned Functional Director.
