For Medical Laboratory Technician posts, merit uses Matriculation marks plus Class 12 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) marks.
  • Merit list preparation: Merit lists are prepared unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise in descending order of percentage, equal to the number of notified slots.
  • Shortlisting for document verification: Shortlisted candidates (to the extent of 1.5 times the notified vacancies) are called for Document Verification (DV).
  • Final panel and allotment: A candidate is considered for only one combination of Unit-Department-Trade based on merit and order of preference; once selected against a higher preference, lower preferences are cancelled.
  • Tie-breaking: In case of equal marks, the older candidate is ranked higher; if date of birth is the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier is ranked higher.
