Selection Process
- GATE Score Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted discipline-wise and category-wise in the ratio of 1:5 based on GATE score merit (GATE 2024/2025/2026). All candidates with a tied score at the cut-off rank are shortlisted.
- Document Verification: Document verification is conducted before the interview; candidates must appear with original documents or they will not be eligible for further stages.
- Personal Interaction / Interview: Interview carries a maximum of 50 marks assessed on Technical (Academic) knowledge, Presentation/Communication skill/comprehension, and Academic performance (0.05 mark per percentage in the qualifying degree). Minimum qualifying marks: UR 50%, EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD 40%.
- Final Merit: Final merit is based on weightage: 60% from best of GATE 2024/2025/2026 score and 40% from Personal Interaction/Interview.
