National Investigation Agency (NIA) invites applications (by post; advance copy by email allowed) for 14 deputation vacancies: 4 Additional Superintendent of Police (Pay Matrix Level-11) and 10 Deputy Superintendent of Police (Pay Matrix Level-10). Candidates must be officers holding analogous posts or with specified regular service grades and possess a Bachelor’s degree with relevant investigation/intelligence experience (5 years for Addl. SP, 3 years for Dy. SP). Applications must reach SP(Adm), NIA HQ, Lodhi Road, New Delhi by 07-11-2026. Selection is by deputation/absorption through screening of bio-data, APARs, vigilance clearance and eligibility checks.

    Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and 3 years’ experience in investigation/intelligence or training; holding analogous post or specified service in prescribed grade

Qualification Requirements

Addl. SP: Holding analogous posts on regular basis OR 5 years’ service in the grade after appointment in PB-3 (pre-revised GP Rs 5400) or equivalent; and possessing a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline plus 5 years’ experience in investigation of criminal cases, intelligence work including counter terrorism operations or imparting training in counter terrorism. Dy. SP: Holding analogous posts on regular basis OR specified 2/3 years’ service in Pay Band-2 (pre-revised Grade Pay Rs 4800/4600) or equivalent; and possessing a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline plus 3 years’ experience in handling investigation, intelligence or counter terrorism training.

  • Screening of bio-data: Candidates’ submitted bio-data will be screened for basic suitability and eligibility.
  • Evaluation of APAR dossiers: Appraisal (APAR) dossiers will be examined for relevant performance records.
  • Vigilance clearance verification: Vigilance clearance and integrity certificates will be verified by the competent authority.
  • Eligibility verification: Eligibility criteria such as service grade, experience and qualifications will be checked.
  • Selection by competent authority/committee: Final selection is made by the competent authority or selection committee on deputation/absorption basis.
