Selection Process
- Identity Check & Documentation: Candidates undergo identity check and document verification of original certificates for age, education, sports achievement, domicile and category. Those unable to produce prescribed originals are eliminated at this stage.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Qualified candidates are measured against required physical standards (height, chest for males, weight proportionate) with specified relaxations for certain categories.
- Sports Trial Test: Candidates who pass PST take a sports trial conducted by a Board of Officers. The trial is qualifying (pass/fail) and may include a dope test; no marks are awarded in the trial.
- Marking of Achievements (Merit): Marks are awarded for the single highest medal/position achieved in the eligible window (30-09-2024 to 30-09-2026) according to the marking table in the notification to prepare merit lists.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Review Medical Examination (RME): Selected candidates undergo DME (and RME if declared unfit) as per uniform recruitment medical guidelines; minimum required vision and other medical standards apply and colour-blind candidates are not eligible.
