Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on details in their online applications; UPSC may use desirable qualifications, higher educational achievements or additional experience to shortlist when applications are large.
- Recruitment Test (if applicable): For some posts UPSC may hold a recruitment test; where a test is conducted candidates must obtain minimum suitability marks at that stage.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Minimum suitability marks in interview are 50 for Unreserved, 45 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST/PwBD (out of 100).
- Final Selection: Final selection will follow achievement of minimum suitability marks and satisfaction of eligibility and other requirements as per UPSC rules.
How to Apply
- Visit the UPSC Online Application Portal and read the general instructions carefully.
- Create a Universal Registration Number (URN) by providing details including a Photo ID Card (Aadhaar Card recommended).
- Fill in the Common Application Form (CAF) with all required personal and educational details.
- Upload required documents: photograph (live photo capture), signature (three times on plain white paper), date of birth proof (10th certificate), educational certificates and mark sheets, experience certificates (prescribed proforma), caste/OBC/disability certificates if applicable, and any other relevant documents.
- Pay the application fee of Rs.25 online if applicable (Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI or Internet Banking). SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempted.
- Submit the completed online application. No corrections or withdrawals are allowed after submission. Take a printout for future reference.
- Submit the application by 01-05-2026 up to 18:00 Hrs. No printed copy needs to be sent to UPSC.
