Selection Process
- Application scrutiny and shortlisting: The University may scrutinise and shortlist applications and may limit the number of candidates called for interview based on its rules or criteria.
- Local Selection Committee interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the Local Selection Committee in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, AMU, Aligarh. Candidates must report half an hour before the interview time.
- Medical examination if required: Selected applicants may be examined by an Internal Medical Board before appointment.
- Finalisation and verification: The University may modify, withdraw or cancel the selection if any mistake is found during scrutiny or selection, even after an interview or appointment letter is issued.
How to Apply
- Read the advertisement and the User Manual on the AMU Careers Portal.
- Fill in the application form online at https://careers.amuonline.ac.in; applications on plain paper are not accepted.
- Pay the Rs. 500 processing fee online, or upload the Disability Certificate if you are a PwD candidate.
- After submitting the form, print the PDF application on A-4 size paper, sign it and paste a recent front-facing photograph.
- Attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents and write the post applied for, advertisement number (FM/41/2026) and its date on the top-left of the envelope.
- Post the envelope to Office of the Dean, J. N. Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh-202002 so it arrives by 14-11-2026 (04:00 PM). The University is not responsible for postal delays.
