Selection Process
- Application: Candidates submit a single online application via the official portal; multiple applications will lead to cancellation.
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted using bonus marks: up to 50 for NCC ‘C’ Certificate performance and up to 50 for graduation marks; shortlisting tentatively in first week of September 2026.
- SSB Centre & Date Selection: Shortlisted candidates select SSB centre and interview date on a first-come-first-served basis during a 14-day window in September 2026.
- SSB Interview: SSB interview conducted over up to five days in designated centres; it follows a two-stage process where failing Stage I returns the candidate the same day.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended after SSB Stage II undergo medical tests; medical validity is 270 days from SSB medical board date to PCTA joining date.
- Merit List & Joining Letter: Merit list prepared strictly on SSB marks with tie-breakers (age then qualifying exam percentage); joining letters issued for OTA Chennai for candidates in merit and available vacancies.

- If new, click ‘Registration’ and complete the registration form; skip if already registered.
- In Dashboard click ‘Apply Online’ then select ‘Eligibility’ on the Officers Selection page.
- Click ‘Apply’ against ‘Short Service Commission NCC Special Entry Course’ and fill personal, communication, education and previous SSB details, saving after each section.
- Review the ‘Summary of your information’ page and click ‘Submit’ only after confirming accuracy.
- Take two printouts of the submitted application (with Roll Number) 30 minutes after final closure of the online application on the last day.
