Selection Process
- Junior Technician (Non-Executive): Selection is by a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a qualifying Trade Test (Practical) at the respective AVNL unit. Merit for final selection of Junior Technician posts is decided solely on Written Test marks; the Trade Test is qualifying only (syllabus per Annexure-A of the official notification).
- Junior Manager / Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager: Selection is by CBT followed by an Interview (50 marks). Final merit is based on the combined performance in the Written Exam and Interview (Interview has 15% weightage for the posts mentioned).
- Senior Manager / Deputy General Manager / Additional General Manager / Consultant: There is no written CBT for these posts. Assessment is through Presentation, Experience, Expertise, Knowledge and Interview conducted at AVNL CO, Avadi.
- Shortlisting for next stages: Candidates qualifying the CBT will be called for Interview (for non-Junior Technician posts) or Trade Test (for Junior Technicians) in a post:candidate ratio of 1:3 in order of merit within each category; the final ratio may be decided by AVNL management.
- Final Notifications and Verification: Names of candidates shortlisted at each stage and final selections will be notified on the AVNL website. Selected candidates are subject to document verification and medical fitness requirements.
How to Apply
Step 1 Registration: Visit the AVNL website (https://avnl.co.in), go to Careers -> Register, fill Post name, Post Code (auto), Name, Mobile, Email, generate and enter OTP, accept terms and submit to receive Registration Number, Login ID and Password.
Step 2 Fill Application: Log in using the provided credentials, complete the application form, upload photograph, signature and required documents (DOB proof, educational qualifications, category certificate, apprenticeship certificate, PwBD/Ex-Servicemen proof if applicable), preview and submit. Note: Name, Post Applied, Email ID and Mobile cannot be changed after submission.
Step 3 Fee Payment: Proceed to the Payment Gateway, choose payment mode (Net Banking/Debit/Credit/UPI), complete payment. On successful payment, you will be redirected back; download the application/registration form for record. No documents are to be sent by post.
Important: Selection of option for ALL Units where post is available is mandatory. Ensure all required documents are uploaded; incomplete applications may be rejected.
