Selection Process
- 1: Written/OMR Examination: All posts are selected purely on merit from a written/OMR objective type multiple choice examination set in English. There is negative marking of one-fourth (25%) for each wrong answer.
- 2: Shortlisting and Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted after the written exam must produce original documents and self-attested copies for verification (birth certificate, domicile, category, qualification certificates, etc.).
- 3: Final Selection: Final selection is based on merit in the written examination subject to satisfying eligibility and successful document verification. There is no interview stage.
How to Apply
- Visit the official JKSSB website www.jkssb.nic.in and read the Advertisement Notification and instructions carefully.
- Fill the online application form; applications through any other mode will not be accepted.
- Indicate clearly the item number(s)/post(s) being applied for; only one application per item number is allowed.
- Upload required documents: live photograph, signature (10–20 KB), category certificate (max 100 KB PDF), qualification/experience certificates (self-attested, max 100 KB PDF) as applicable.
- Pay the applicable application fee online using Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
- Review entries carefully before final submission; no changes will be permitted after submission.
- Take a printout of the submitted application form and preserve it for Document Verification; do not send hard copy to JKSSB.
- In-service candidates must forward a signed and stamped printout of the application through their Head of Department to the Secretary, JKSSB, by the last date of Document Verification.
