Selection Process
- CBT-I: First stage computer-based test common to all posts. Duration 90 minutes with 100 questions (Mathematics 30, General Intelligence & Reasoning 25, General Awareness 15, General Science 30).
- CBT-II: Second stage computer-based test. Duration 120 minutes with 150 questions (General Awareness 15, Physics & Chemistry 15, Basics of Computers 10, Environment & Pollution Control 10, Technical Abilities 100). Shortlisting to Document Verification is based on CBT-II merit.
- Document Verification (DV): Documents are verified for shortlisted candidates equal to number of vacancies. Shortlisting for DV is based on CBT-II merit using a normalized Merit Index across Exam Groups.
- Medical Examination (ME): Final stage is a medical exam. Medical fitness as per prescribed Medical Standard (A-3/B-1/B-2/C-1, as applicable) is mandatory for appointment.
How to Apply
- Visit the official RRB website or rrbapply.gov.in and create an account using a personal mobile number and email ID (these cannot be changed later).
- Log in and select CEN No. 04/2026 (JE/DMS/CMA), choose one RRB only and indicate zone/post preferences in order (this choice is final).
- Fill personal, educational and category details, complete live photo capture, upload signature and required certificates as per guidelines.
- Pay the applicable examination fee online (internet banking / debit-credit card / UPI) and submit the application; note down your Registration Number.
- Use the modification window (16.09.2026 to 25.09.2026) for corrections if needed, on payment of ₹250 per modification.
