Selection Process
- Paper-I (Objective Type): Objective multiple-choice test in two parts: Part-I General Hindi and Part-II General English (100+100 = 200 marks). There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Shortlisting for Paper-II: Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for Paper-II based on marks scored in Paper-I.
- Paper-II (Descriptive): Descriptive paper covering translation (Hindi-English and English-Hindi) and essays in both languages (200 marks).
- Final Merit and Weightage: Final selection is based on weightage combining Paper-I and Paper-II as per the notification (Paper-I and Paper-II marks as specified); minimum qualifying and final selection percentage cut-offs apply category-wise.
- Tie-Breaking: In case of tie, order of resolution is: marks in Paper-II, older date of birth, then alphabetical order of names.
