Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has released a notification (HAL/CHRC-TM/RECT-02/2026) for 120 trainee posts (60 Design Trainee, 60 Management Trainee) across various engineering disciplines. Online applications opened on 29-07-2026 (1400 hrs) and close on 14-08-2026 (1400 hrs). Qualification Requirements

Full-time/regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (10+2+4 pattern or 10+3+3 for lateral entry) in the notified disciplines/branches. Part-time, correspondence, distance or e-learning qualifications are not acceptable. Five-year integrated engineering degrees are acceptable. Final year candidates may apply subject to meeting the prescribed aggregate percentage by the final semester/year and providing documentary proof at interview.

Selection Process

  • Online Computer Based Selection Test: All candidates take an online computer-based test (CBT) of 2.5 hours with MCQs in three parts: Part I – 20 MCQs on General Awareness; Part II – 40 MCQs on English & Reasoning; Part III – 100 MCQs on the concerned discipline. The test can be taken in Hindi or English. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5 per discipline and category.
  • Shortlisting for Interview: Shortlisting for interview is based on Online Test marks in the ratio of 1:5 to vacancies in each discipline and category.
  • Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend a personal interview at Bengaluru. Final merit uses 85% weight for the Online Test and 15% weight for the Interview. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks each in the Written Test and Interview (relaxations as per rules).
  • Declaration & Provisional Offer: Results and provisional select list are published on the website; provisional offers are issued/downloadable as per schedule.
  • Pre-employment Medical & Document Verification: Provisionally selected candidates must undergo pre-employment medical examination and document verification (including caste/income/disability proofs) before joining and induction training.
