Selection Process
- Online Computer Based Selection Test: All-India online test of 2.5 hours with MCQs in three parts: Part I – 20 MCQs on General Awareness; Part II – 40 MCQs on English & Reasoning; Part III – 100 MCQs on the concerned discipline. Test can be taken in Hindi or English.
- Shortlisting for Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on Online Test marks in the ratio of 1:5 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category.
- Personal Interview: Personal Interview to be held at Bengaluru. Interview carries 15% weightage in final selection.
- Final Merit List: Final merit is prepared with 85% weight for the Online Test and 15% for the Interview. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks each in Written Test and Interview (relaxation as per rules).
- Pre-employment Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment medical exam and meet company medical standards before appointment.
How to Apply
- Keep ready a valid active e-mail ID, passport-size color photograph (.jpg under 180 KB), Aadhaar number and mobile number, semester-wise educational marks, and employment details if applicable.
- Visit the HAL website www.hal-india.co.in (Careers Section) and click ‘SELECTION OF DESIGN TRAINEE/MANAGEMENT TRAINEE – 2026’, then select the post.
- Register using a valid e-mail ID (OTP-based) and enter eligibility details; a unique Application Number will be generated (eligibility details cannot be edited).
- Fill Personal & Qualification details and upload photograph; edit option available before final submission.
- SC/ST/PwBD/Internal candidates: submit registration and retain Application Confirmation page. UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates: proceed to payment gateway to pay ₹500 via Credit Card/Internet Banking/UPI.
- After successful payment, print and retain the Application Confirmation Page. Complete the process before 14-08-2026, 1400 hrs. Applying for more than one post will lead to rejection.
