HPCL invites online applications for 358 Graduate Apprentice Trainee (Engineering) training slots across India for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation streams for the 2026-27 apprenticeship year. Applications are open from 15-07-2026 to 31-07-2026 via the HPCL application portal. Eligible candidates must have completed B.Tech/B.E. in the specified streams on or after 01-09-2023 with required aggregate marks (UR/OBC-NC 60%, SC/ST/PwBD 50%) and must be registered on NATS 2.0. Selected apprentices will undergo document verification, merit-based selection, accept a tri-partite contract and receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000 for one year.

Qualification Requirements

Engineering graduation (B.Tech/B.E.) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation from a UGC/AICTE/Board of Technical Education recognized institute. Degree must be completed on or after 01-09-2023. UR/OBC-NC: 60% aggregate required; SC/ST/PwBD: 50% aggregate. CGPA/GPA must be converted to percentage as per institute norms with certificate. Only Indian nationals registered and approved on NATS 2.0 and by BOAT are eligible. Candidates with an existing apprenticeship contract or with one year or more of work experience are not eligible.

Selection Process

  • 1: Applications are screened and shortlisted on the basis of merit percentage as per eligibility and the number of training slots notified.
  • 2: Incomplete or ineligible applications are rejected without intimation.
  • 3: Shortlisted candidates are called for document/certificate verification in a ratio of 1:5 against notified training slots; communication is via registered email and no TA/DA is paid.
  • 4: A merit list is prepared based on candidates who report for verification and are found suitable.
  • 5: Selected candidates must accept a tri-partite apprenticeship contract on the NATS website, submit a medical certificate, and undergo police verification.

  1. Register on the Apprentice Application portal at http://jobs.hpcl.co.in/Recruit_New/recruitlogin.jsp using ‘Sign up for New Registration’.
  2. Login credentials will be sent to the registered email ID by the HPCL Apprentice Team.
  3. Sign in using the received email ID and password.
  4. Select the Engineering Branch from the dropdown as per the advertisement.
  5. Fill in Personal Details and click ‘Validate your details.’
  6. Click ‘Save & Next’ to proceed to Contact Details, including correspondence and permanent address.
  7. Select State of Training (only one preference can be selected).
  8. Validate details and proceed to Qualification Details.
  9. Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
  10. Recheck all details under ‘Preview’ and edit if required.
  11. Read the declaration carefully, check the declaration boxes, and click ‘Final Submit.’
  12. A confirmation email with the HPCL Application Number will be sent after submission.
