Selection Process
- Written Examination: Candidates take a written exam; final merit is based on written exam marks subject to qualifying PET, TT and PME. Minimum passing marks: 50% for UR/EWS/OBC and 40% for SC/ST.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurements: Qualifying PET includes 1.6 km run in 10 minutes; PET and physical measurements are qualifying in nature. PwBD, ESM, Ex-Agniveers, and departmental re-appointment candidates are exempt from PET.
- Trade Test (TT): Trade test where applicable; it is qualifying in nature and requires minimum 40% marks to qualify.
- Primary Medical Examination (PME): Candidates who qualify PET/TT undergo a primary medical examination to check medical fitness as per GREF standards.
- Document Verification (DV): Verification of certificates, fee receipt and other documents; final eligibility confirmed at DV prior to induction/joining.
- Induction/Joining: Candidates declared fit and eligible after all stages will be inducted/joined into GREF.
How to Apply
- Visit https://www.bro.gov.in and download the application form and admit card.
- Pay the application fee online only through SBI Collect (https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=1232156) and obtain e-receipt.
- Fill the application in English or Hindi in capital letters, paste recent photographs, put left thumb impression and sign at prescribed places.
- Print application on A4 75 GSM bond paper (one side only) and print admit card on both sides of a single paper; attach e-receipt and required self-attested documents.
- If applying for more than one post, prepare separate application and fee for each post in separate envelopes.
- Superscribe envelope as required and send by postal service to: Commandant, GREF Centre, Dighi Camp, Pune – 411015. Do not send application elsewhere.
