Selection Process
- Tier-I Computer Based Examination (CBE): All applicants must take Tier-I CBE which is objective (MCQ) covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Marks are normalized across shifts and there is negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
- Tier-II Computer Based Examination (CBE): Qualified candidates appear in Tier-II (Paper-I compulsory for all; Paper-II for JSO; Paper-III for AAO/AAcO). Tier-II is scoring and has negative marking (typically 1 mark per wrong answer in many modules).
- Qualifying Tests (CKT and DEST) and Post-specific Standards: Computer Knowledge Test (CKT) and Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) are qualifying/mandatory for many posts; higher standards may apply for some posts. Certain posts require physical/medical standards/tests as per the notification.
- Normalization and No Re-evaluation: Marks obtained in CBE across multiple shifts will be normalized as per SSC procedure. There is no re-evaluation or re-checking of scores.
- Document Verification and Final Allotment: Shortlisted candidates undergo document verification; final allotment of posts is on merit-cum-preference and is subject to fulfilment of post-specific standards.
How to Apply
- Generate One-Time Registration (OTR) at https://ssc.gov.in (use Aadhaar-based authentication if possible).
- Complete and lock the OTR profile.
- Fill the Common Application Form (CAF), capture live photograph and upload scanned signature (JPEG/JPG, 10–20 KB, 6.0 cm × 2.0 cm).
- Fill the Examination Specific Module with post preferences and three choice of centres within same region.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- online (if applicable) by 23-06-2026.
- Preview/Print the application and save a copy.
- Use correction window from 29-06-2026 to 01-07-2026 if corrections are needed (fee applicable).
- Keep printouts and documents for at least 3 years and prepare for Tier-I exam.
