Selection Process
- Written Examination: Objective type written exam consisting of Paper I (Mathematics, 300 marks) and Paper II (General Ability Test, 600 marks). Total written marks 900. Negative marking of one-third for wrong answers.
- SSB Intelligence & Personality Test: Candidates who qualify written exam are called for SSB testing which has Stage I (OIR & PPDT) and Stage II (interview, GTO tasks, psychology tests, conference) over four days. CPSS is required for Air Force Flying candidates.
- Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by SSB undergo medical examination by a Service Medical Board; only those declared medically fit are admitted.
How to Apply
- Visit the UPSC online portal https://upsconline.nic.in between 20-05-2026 and 09-06-2026.
- Create account and generate URN, complete Universal Registration (one-time), and fill the Common Application Form (CAF).
- Select service preferences (1 to 4) carefully in the Examination Specific Module; at least one preference is mandatory.
- Upload passport-size photograph, live webcam capture (if required), and scanned signature (three signatures on white paper in black ink).
- Pay the application fee online if applicable (Rs.100 for General/OBC/EWS male) and submit the application before 6:00 PM on last date.
- Retain URN, Application Number and payment details; download e-Admit Card from UPSC website when released.
