Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Applications will be checked for eligibility; UPSC may shortlist candidates based on higher qualifications or other suitable criteria if applications are large.
- Recruitment Test / Interview: Depending on UPSC’s decision, candidates may have to take a Recruitment Test and/or attend an Interview. Where applicable, candidates must qualify in both the test and the interview.
- Medical Examination: Candidates finally selected must pass the medical examination as prescribed by the Government.

- Register and complete the Common Application Form (CAF) and then fill the vacancy-specific module during the application window.
- Upload required documents: live photograph during CAF filling, scanned passport photograph, scanned signature, matriculation/10th certificate for DOB proof, degree certificate/marksheets, caste/EWS/OBC NCL certificate if applicable, PwBD certificate if applicable, and any other supporting documents.
- Pay the application fee online where applicable (Rs.25 for General/OBC/EWS male); SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempt.
- Retain the printout of the finally submitted online application. No hard copy is required.
