Selection Process
- Paper-I (Computer Based Examination – CBE): Candidates take Paper-I (CBE) consisting of General Awareness and English Language & Comprehension (200 marks, 100 questions each). Candidates are shortlisted for evaluation of Paper-II based on performance in Paper-I; those not qualifying Paper-I are not evaluated further.
- Paper-II (Written/Descriptive Examination): Shortlisted candidates’ Paper-II (Noting, Drafting & Office Procedure) will be evaluated (100 marks, descriptive). Aggregate performance in Paper-I and Paper-II is used to shortlist candidates for Part-II evaluation.
- Part-II (Evaluation of Record of Service / APARs): Records of service/APARs are evaluated for 100 marks. Final selection is based on aggregate marks in Paper-I + Paper-II + Part-II (total 400 marks).
How to Apply
- Visit https://ssc.gov.in and complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website if not already generated.
- Log in and fill the online Application Form for the SSA/UDC Limited Departmental Competitive Examination within 05-06-2026 to 26-06-2026.
- Upload required documents as listed in the notice (service book page, particulars of service, essential qualification certificate if applicable, PwBD certificate if applicable, live photograph, scanned signature).
- After submitting online, take a printed copy of the application, attach required documents, and have it forwarded by the candidate’s Head of Department/Head of Office to The Regional Director, SSC (Northern Region), Block No.12, C.G.O. Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003 to reach by 03-07-2026 (1800 hrs).
- Keep track of admission certificate and other communications on https://sscnr.nic.in and carry departmental ID and admission certificate to the examination centre.
