Selection Process
- Shortlisting by merit: Candidates may be shortlisted based on academic merit depending on vacancies in each category and discipline.
- Written test: A written test may be held as part of the shortlisting or selection process if applicable.
- Interview / Walk-in interview: Candidates may be called for an interview or walk-in interview as part of selection when required.
- Document verification: Selection is subject to satisfactory verification of original documents and certificates.
- Online approval of apprenticeship contract: Final selection is confirmed after the competent authority approves the apprenticeship contract online.
How to Apply
- Register on the NATS 2.0 portal.
- Download the application form from drdo.gov.in/drdo/en/offerings/vacancies and fill it (mention percentage marks; convert CGPA as per university norms).
- Ensure the application is ink-signed and attach required documents and NATS 2.0 profile copy.
- Send the completed application by post to The Director, HEMRL, Ministry of Defence, DRDO, Sutarwadi, Pashan, Pune – 411021 (Kind Attention: HRD, HEMRL, Pune).
- Make sure the application reaches HEMRL on or before 28 August 2026; late, incomplete or erroneous applications will be rejected.

What are the eligibility/qualification criteria?
Candidates must hold the specified qualification from a recognised Board/University as listed in the vacancy table (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/B.A/B.Com/BLIS/BBA as applicable). Only regular candidates who passed the qualifying examination in 2022–2026 are eligible; candidates with higher qualifications, one year or more job experience after qualification, or prior apprenticeship training are not eligible.
How do I apply for the apprenticeship?
First register on the NATS 2.0 portal, then download and fill the application form from the DRDO vacancies page and send the completed, signed offline application by post to The Director, HEMRL, DRDO, Sutarwadi, Pashan, Pune – 411021 (Kind Attention: HRD, HEMRL, Pune).
What is the last date to apply?

What is the selection process?

What is the stipend/pay scale for the apprenticeship?
The monthly stipend for all Graduate Apprentice disciplines is ₹15,000 as stated in the notification.
